Jiwon Kim completed her PhD in Practical Philosophy at Lund University in October 2025. Her dissertation, How to Guide with Words: Moral Advice as a Speech Act, examines moral advice as a distinctive speech act and develops an intentionalist account of how normative guidance works in discourse. Her research is in metaethics, philosophy of language, normative ethics, and the philosophy of artificial intelligence. She is currently teaching at Lund University and has published on aggregation, trade-offs, and uncertainty in AI wellbeing. She has held research visits at the Australian National University and the University of Johannesburg.
