Johannes Persson is professor of theoretical philosophy. He holds a Ph. D. In theoretical philosophy (Causal Facts, Stockholm: Thales, 1997) specialising in theories of causation. He was involved in two large research programs: "Vetenskap oct beprövad erfarenhet/Science and Proven Experience" (www.vbe.lu.se) and Lund University Centre of Excellence for Integration of Social and Natural Dimensions of Sustainability (www.lucid.lu.se). His primary interest concerns how knowledge of different types are utilised in decision-making in real life situations.
Johannes Persson is dean of the joint faculties of humanities and theology since 2018
He was a visiting fellow at Center for Philosophy of Science, University of Pittsburgh in 2007.
